Privacy Policy

Effective date: 24 July, 2026 · quietcollapse.net

The Quiet Collapse ("we," "us") publishes independent research and commentary on American governance at quietcollapse.net. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors to this site, how we use it, and how you can control it.

What We Collect

Currently, the only personal information this site collects is what you provide voluntarily through the Contact form: your name, email address, and the content of your message. We do not require an account, and there is no newsletter signup or purchase flow on the site at this time.

How We Use It

To respond to your message or inquiry. To route your message internally — for example, to route a fact-check request, a working-group inquiry, or a press request to the right person. We do not use Contact form submissions for marketing, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party.

Third Parties

This site is hosted on Wix. Wix may set analytics cookies automatically as part of its hosting infrastructure (see Cookies, below); we do not separately share your Contact form submissions with Wix or any other third party for marketing purposes. If a payment processor is added in the future, that processor's own privacy policy will govern the payment data it collects directly, and this section will be updated to name it.

Cookies and Analytics

Our hosting platform (Wix) sets basic analytics cookies by default to measure site traffic (e.g., page views, referral source). These cookies do not collect your name or email unless you separately submit the Contact form. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; doing so will not affect your ability to read the site, only aggregate analytics.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to and resolve your inquiry, and are periodically deleted thereafter.

Your Rights

You may request a copy of, or the deletion of, any information you've submitted through the Contact form by emailing tbarrett002@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site's features change (for example, if a newsletter or ecommerce feature is added). The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
